Presentation

Weakness, loss of memory, and disorientation of less than 24 hours duration with near complete resolution of symptoms.

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male

A tiny punctate focus of diffusion restriction is seen in the superolateral aspect of the body of the left hippocampus.

Focal T2/T2 FLAIR hyperintensities are seen in the subcortical white matter of bilateral frontal lobes, likely chronic small vessel disease.
