A right adnexal multilocular oblong-shaped lesion with a low T1 and high T2 signal is noted. The post-contrast study shows marginal enhancement of its thick walls. The lesion shows marked diffusion restriction. Note the surrounding smudging of fat planes.
Case Discussion
This is a case of tubo-ovarian abscess showing the characteristic signs in magnetic resonance in the form of marginal enhancement and diffusion restriction. The radiological signs matched the patient's presentation with acute abdomen and high-grade fever.
