Presentation

Poor urinary stream and hematuria.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male
x-ray
  • internal fixation of right femoral neck fracture using the dynamic hip screw

  • prominent avascular necrosis of the right femoral head

  • numerous varying-sized urinary bladder stones

Case Discussion

Bladder outlet obstruction or foreign body are common causes of bladder stones. Other causes are infection and spinal cord injuries. Bladder calculi may be small or large and may occur as single or multiple stones.
