Presentation
Chronic pelvic pain.
Patient Data
There is a 4 x 5 x 5.5 cm well-defined smooth outlined pelvic mass lesion, arising from the left postero-lateral aspect of the uterine body. It shows low to intermediate signal intensity on T1WI and intermediate signal intensity on T2WI with central areas of high signal within (cystic degeneration). The postcontrast sequences demonstrate marked and heterogeneous enhancement equal to the next uterine myometrium. MRI features of uterine subserosal leiomyoma (FIGO type 6).
Follicular cyst measuring about 30 mm at left ovary (MRI ORADS I).
Case Discussion
MRI features are most consistent with uterine subserosal leiomyoma (FIGO type 6).
