A Verocay body is a distinctive structure found in certain tumors, particularly the Antoni A component of schwannomas. It appears as a compact, oval-shaped structure with parallel rows of nuclei arranged in a palisade-like fashion, separated by an anuclear zone.
Histology image obtained from a case of a schwannoma of the hypoglossal nerve (Frank Gaillard, rID: 164934) care of Dr S. Roberts-Thomson.
