Patient Data
Right foot: Comminuted fracture of the talus bone with dislocation of the talar body from both subtalar and ankle joints, note that the talar head is still in contact with the navicular bone.
Oblique fracture of the lateral malleolus at the level of the tibiofibular syndesmosis with a fracture of the medial malleolus.

Left foot: Extra-articular fracture of the posterior process of the left calcaneus. No involvement of the subtalar joint.
Case Discussion

Fracture of right talar bone is classified as a type III according to Hawkins classification
The left foot shows a fracture of the posterior tuberosity is classified as a type C extraarticular fracture. Calcaneal fractures are classified into intraarticular and extraarticular fractures depending on the involvement of the subtalar joint.
