Striated appearance of the left testis was new from prior examination in 2011. The patient was reviewed by the urology unit, who felt that infection was the most likely cause. 

Enterococcus faecalis was cultured from a urine sample. 

Striated appearance of the testes is non-specific and can represent:

• fibrosis (in elderly population)
• infection
• malignancy
