What is the most likely diagnosis? How would you confirm the fatty constituent of this mass on CT?
Fat containing lesion in the suprasellar region, most likely a small lipoma. Fat density can be confirmed with a Hounsfield measurement.
A 7 mm fat containing suprasellar mass is demonstrated. There is no significant mass effect on adjacent structures. Elsewhere ventricles and sulci are within normal limits. No further acute intracranial pathology, including haemorrhage seen. No suspicious bone lesions.
