There is a 2 cm laceration in the lower pole of the left kidney. Associated small perinephric haematoma. Although arterial phase scanning not performed, there no CT features to suggest active bleeding.
Subcutaneous stranding is seen extending posterolaterally toward a region of slightly thickened skin, showing presumably the wound entry site.
No free fluid in the abdomen or pelvis. No pneumoperitoneum. The adjacent descending colon is unremarkable.
The liver, spleen, right kidney, adrenals, pancreas, bladder, bowel and gallbladder are unremarkable. The visualised lung bases are clear with no pneumothorax or pulmonary contusion seen.
