Ultrasonograph of the patient showed incidental findings of two hepatic focal lesions with calcification and heavy post acoustic shadowing. Calcification of hepatic cysts raises the possibility of hydatid disease.

Other features depend on the separation of an endocyst floating within the cyst fluid (water-lily sign).
