Large diaphragmatic hernia

Discussion:

The adult presentation of diaphragmatic hernia may be due to traumatic diaphragmatic rupture, or large hiatal hernia, or late presentation of congenital diaphragmatic hernias. Differential diagnosis include diaphragmatic paralysis, however in this case there is loss of medial and anterior diaphragmatic attachments and non-visualization of left diaphragmatic crus, suggestive of chronic diaphragmatic rupture.
