Growing brainstem cavernoma

Discussion:

Typical imaging of a brain stem cavernoma showing repeat hemorrhage.

The patients state deteriorated in several episodes with increasing gait disturbances, dysarthria, dysphagia and vertigo, later abducens nerve palsy. The patient eventually received operative treatment.

Noting several smaller focal regions of susceptibility induced signal loss in the susceptibility weighted imaging (SWI) a multiple cavernoma syndrome is suspected.
