Prominent marrow oedema through the calcaneus posteroinferiorly with a linear low T1 signal completely crossing the medullary cavity. Periosteal and soft tissue oedema adjacent to the posteroinferior calcaneum.
Syndesmotic, lateral collateral and medial collateral ligaments of the ankle are intact.
Sinus tarsi is unremarkable. Plantar fascia origin is normal. Normal Achilles insertion. No retrocalcaneal bursitis.
Anterior/extensor tendons are intact. Small effusion of the common peroneal tendon sheath. Small effusion of the tibialis posterior tendon sheath. Remaining flexor tendons are intact.
