Hyperintensity centred tear within the proximal myotendinous junction of the long head of biceps femoris involving 10-50% of the cross-sectional area. The craniocaudal distance of the hyperintensity is approximately 14.5 cm. There are small foci of 1-2 mm very high T2/PD signal regions, which may represent focal fibre disruption.
Minimal proximal biceps femoris muscle belly hyperintensity without fibre disruption. No involvement of the proximal or distal free tendon. No perifascial fluid. No evidence of injury elsewhere.
