Coccydynia is most commonly associated with trauma. CT is often required for definitive diagnosis. Risk factors include: sex (female to male ratio of 4:1), increased body mass index, and anatomic factors (mobile sacrococcygeal joint, ventrally curved coccyx, and posterior spicule).
