Multilocular cystic mass in the left adnexa, which has fluid-fluid levels with T1 hyperintensity and fat saturation of the antedependent components, and pronounced chemical shift artefact separating the components on the sagittal T2 acquisition, all features consistent with lipid content, and in keeping with a dermoid cyst. Few fat-containing globules were noted along the right lateral border of the lesion, also a known feature of dermoid cysts. Several follicles along the left lateral border of the lesion, confirm its ovarian origin. There is smooth mural enhancement of the loculations, no nodular enhancement, papillary projections or discrete solid components.
A unilocular thin-walled cyst with water signal contents measuring 3.6 x 2.0 x 5.0cm is present in the right ovary. No solid component. It was not seen on the recent ultrasound - ? new or omitted on the ultrasound due to its somewhat eccentric, inferior position.
Uterus is anteverted and displaced to the right by the left adnexal mass. Normal size, no myometrial masses. No features of endometriosis.
