An 85 x 80 x 60 mm subcapsular fluid collection with a dependent eccentric relatively hyperdense non-enhanced component is present at the lateral aspect of the left kidney, which compresses and displaces the left kidney medially. Regarding the history of recent blunt trauma, features are compatible with left renal subcapsular haematoma with a dependent clot.
In addition, fat stranding and a small volume of fluid accumulation are seen in the left retroperitoneal space, lateral to the psoas muscle. The left quadratus lumborum muscle is also enlarged, inferring post-traumatic changes.
