What are the findings?
4 x 5 cm homogeneous enhancing intra-axial lesion in the left cerebellum, showing restricted diffusion, heterogenous signal on T2W sequences, hypointense to grey matter on T1W sequences and hyperintense to grey matter on FLAIR sequences.
What is the differential diagnosis?
Given the patient's age, the differentials would include cerebellar metastasis, haemangioblastoma, choroid plexus papilloma, ependymoma and medulloblastoma.
What are the typical MRI features of medulloblastomas?
Cerebellar location, intra-axial mass hypointense on T1W imaging, enhancement, heterogenous on T2W imaging, restricted diffusion, hyperintense on FLAIR sequences
