Cervical nerve sheath tumor

Presentation

History of the increasing neck and left arm pain.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Female
mri

There is a 10*20*40 mm dumbbell-shaped extradural solid mass that extends through the C2/3 neural exit foramen along the C3 nerve root on the left. It is hyperintense on T2 weighted imaging and isointense to cord on T1.

The cord is compressed and displaced to the right by the mass. 

The bony margins of the foramen are remodeled and expanded.
