CNS tuberculomas

Presentation

Headaches, vomiting, and deterioration of the level of consciousness.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female

There are multiple lesions, two in the right cerebellum, and three in supratentorial location (right parietal parasagittal, left thalamic, and left temporal posterior region). They are of low signal on T1WI and T2WI with surrounding vasogenic edema. The postcontrast sequence shows peripheral ring enhancement of the smaller lesions and a cluster of ring enhancement of the largest lesions. No significant mass effect on the midline structures.

9 mth post anti-TB Rx

Significant improvement with a decrease in size of the tuberculous granulomas at both infra-and supratentorial levels.
