Presentation
On off left inguinal discomfort. Occasional left scrotal pain
Patient Data
The right hemiscrotum was empty, while both testes were present in the left hemiscrotum, fused with each other. They were of normal size and echogenicity with the normal color flow on color Doppler. Additionally, a few testicular microliths were observed.
Case Discussion
Crossed testicular ectopia is a rare condition with only a few case reports of it. It is characterized by the migration and descent of both testes through a singular inguinal canal. In this condition, one or both testes may manifest ectopically within the abdominal cavity, the inguinal region, or ultimately descend to the hemiscrotum. Associated congenital anomalies are hypospadias, inguinal hernias, and other urogenital tract abnormalities.
