Presentation

History of intermenstrual bleeding.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female
mri

There is a soft tissue mass lesion in the endometrial cavity which demonstrates homogeneous isointense signal intensity on T2 weighted images and post-contrast hypoenhancement compared to uterus myometrium.

No myometrial extension is seen.

The uterine cervix and vagina are unremarkable.

The parametrium is clear.

No pelvic lymphadenopathy or omental lesions are depicted.

The patient underwent a hysteroscopy and endometrial curettage.

Histopathological findings were compatible with endometrial carcinoma, endometrioid type, and well differentiated.

Case Discussion

According to the FIGO Staging System, the MRI findings indicate that the Endometrial carcinoma is at stage 1a.
