Presentation

Left index finger dorsal side thorn injury - two days ago. Complaining of local pain and swelling.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female
ultrasound

Subcutaneous soft tissue thickening with local hypervascularity on the dorsal side of the proximal interphalangeal joint which was the site of thorn injury. Two tiny (< 1 mm) echogenic foci within the thickened soft tissue. Intact extensor and flexor tendons. No joint effusion.
