Patient Data

Age: 10 years
Gender: Female

The study reveals uterus didelphys with two separate uterine horns.

Left uterine horn, cervix and vagina are significantly distended with hemorrhage, possibly due to vaginal septum. Right uterine horn is unremarkable.

Right ovary appears normal with multiple follicles within.

Left ovary is not well visualized.

Thin tubular structure measuring approx. 5 mm in thickness is seen at left lateral aspect of left uterine horn, partially encasing cervix, possibly representing a hematosalpinx.

Case Discussion

Findings are consistent with Herlyn-Werner-Wunderlich syndrome or obstructed hemivagina and ipsilateral renal anomaly (OHVIRA)
