Bilateral abnormal marrow signal intensities in the femoral heads are characteristic of avascular necrosis (AVN), a hypointense line adjacent to a hyperintense line with surrounding marrow edematous changes.

Imaging findings show osteonecrosis/avascular necrosis of both femoral heads.
