The secretory duct of the right breast was cannulated under sterile conditions, and contrast material was injected into the duct.

The exposed duct is dilated, and an oval-shaped filling defect with a longitudinal diameter of 6 mm can be seen inside one of the branches of the mentioned duct.

Case Discussion

Regarding the positive familial history of breast cancer and recent bloody nipple discharge, the patient underwent ultrasound-guided vacuum-assisted total mass resection, and histopathology evaluation confirmed intraductal papilloma without atypia.

According to a consensus committee of the College of American Pathologists, women with intraductal papilloma have a relative risk of 1.5-2 times for developing invasive breast carcinoma in their lifetime.
