Presentation

Left elbow pain for one month.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female
ultrasound

The common extensor tendon appears swollen, heterogeneous and hyperemic .

internal calcification seen within lateral collateral ligament .

x-ray

Small calcification adjacent to the lateral epicondyle.

Case Discussion

Lateral epicondylitis is an overuse injury caused by eccentric overload at the origin of the common extensor tendon leading to tendinosis and inflammation.
