Presentation

Left ankle pain for one month. No history of trauma.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

Small well-corticated bone density along the anterosuperior aspect of the talus (os supratalare). Small plantar calcaneal spur. Hallux valgus deformity. No bone fracture or dislocation is appreciable.

Typical location and imaging features of os supratalare, which is an accessory ossicle that projects superiorly to the head or neck of the talus.  It can often be confused with an avulsion fracture
