Non-contrast CT imaging of the head demonstrates a well-defined bony lesion arising from the external cortex of the right posterior occipital bone. The lesion appears uniformly and markedly sclerotic. There is no evidence of adjacent soft tissue mass or bony erosion.
Conclusion:
Features are consistent with an osteoma.
Case Discussion
The patient went on to have the mass resected, which confirmed the diagnosis of an osteoma.
