Presentation

Painless mass in the right popliteal fossa

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female

There is a well-defined ovoid mass within the popliteal fossa inseparable from the tibial nerve. It shows an isosignal to the muscles on T1WI, heterogeneous high signal on PD fat sat with heterogeneous vivid enhancement following IV contrast. The adjacent medial and lateral head of gastrocnemius muscles appear normal

The menisci, cruciate and collateral ligaments are intact.

No joint effusion.
