Presentation

Sensorineural hearing loss since last 2 years

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Male

Well defined extra axial heterogeneously enhancing mass lesion is noted at right cerebello-pontine angle. No internal calcifications. The lesion is seen extending into internal auditory canal with resultant widening. Mass effect is seen in the form of compression over pons and right middle cerebellar peduncle with mild narrowing of forth ventricle & cerebral aqueduct and resultant mild hydrocephalus.

Case Discussion

Patient had long term sensorineural hearing loss for which he went through audiogram and CECT brain. CECT brain shows classic appearance of right vestibular schwannoma with icecream cone appearance. Patient is yet to undergo surgery.
