Generalised decreased attenuation of cerebral parenchyma, cerebral trunk and cerebellum with effacement of the sulci and loss of grey-white matter differentiation, characterizing diffuse cerebral oedema. Relatively increased attenuation of the basal cisterns and of cerebral sulci compared to cerebral parenchyma, giving the “pseudosubarachnoid haemorrhage” appearance.
